Breastmilk is the best for babies. The World Health Organisation recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life. Unnecessary introduction of bottle feeding or other food and drinks will have a negative impact on breastfeeding. After six months of age, infants should receive age-appropriate foods while breastfeeding continues for up to two years of age or beyond. Consult your doctor before deciding to use infant formula or if you have difficulty breastfeeding.

Your baby in the 11th month

Your baby is learning

Your child do not have to shout out to get something, as pointing to his plate, spoon or other things would have done the job. First syllables may have already come out of his mouth and it responds to its own name. In the 11th month, most babies will start crawling while others are already trying to stand along the furniture and the rest who skip the crawling stage can soon learn to run later.

What your baby needs

As the urge to move grows in your child, your baby now needs more comfortable and durable clothing. It will crawl badly in silk clothing while standing in certain designed wearing will make standing difficult. Your baby will have the best grip with a barefoot when warm. Running barefooted also strengthens the muscles and tendons. Keep the socks on for your child when weather gets colder.

Our AptaAdvantage Tip

Many parents tend to compare the performance of their baby with the children of other friends and acquaintances. Crawling and running often serves as an indication of a particularly good development of the baby but by no means let anybody talk you into pessimism. Every baby puts individual priorities into its own development. They can be motor, language or other skills that it need to develop. Do not force upon your child to succeed and instead let it create the great experience of learning at its pace.
