Breastmilk is the best for babies. The World Health Organisation recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life. Unnecessary introduction of bottle feeding or other food and drinks will have a negative impact on breastfeeding. After six months of age, infants should receive age-appropriate foods while breastfeeding continues for up to two years of age or beyond. Consult your doctor before deciding to use infant formula or if you have difficulty breastfeeding.

What your child learns

Your child would want to participate in everything you do – especially with the housework. Although they will cause doing housework to be a bigger headache, it is okay to leave your child with the simple task as this is a life learning skill, for instance, passing the clothes to you for ironing. Most of such supports are of no help, but you will actually be rewarded with a happy child at the end of the day

What your child needs

A perfectly decorated nursery is less important than building room for movement on the floor throughout the house. Make sure that your child can be safe to explore the apartment. You could build a small obstacle like a cushion, air mattresses or big boxes to hinder its movements or sometimes let it quietly climb on a small household stepladder in your presence.
