NRIC Guidelines

In accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA"), Danone Specialized Nutrition Singapore Pte Ltd ensures the secure handling of your child's personal data, including their NRIC number. We have implemented measures to protect your child's privacy and minimize the storage of sensitive information.

To safeguard your child's NRIC number, we employ the Secured Hashing Algorithm (SHA), as required by the PDPA. This process converts the NRIC into a unique string of numbers and alphabets that cannot be reversed to obtain the original NRIC. Only this hashed string is stored for deduplication purposes during registration and sampling. It is important to note that the original full NRIC is never stored in our systems.

For verification purposes, we retain only a partial NRIC number, specifically the last 3 digits and alphabet of your child's NRIC. As an example, if your child's NRIC is T1234567A, we will only retain the digits 567A. This limited information is securely stored and used solely for verification when necessary.
