What your child learns
Your toddler would have developed a greater awareness on how to handle situations or to react to certain things. The growing assertiveness helps to awaken its desire to take control from time to time. They strengthen its self confidence in certain areas of life and allow your child to make its own choices.
What your toddler needs
Consistent behaviour while teaching is becoming increasingly important. This means that you will enforce your rules consistently and also adhere yourself to stick to the rules, to lead by example. Parents who guide with ever changing moods in everyday life will not be able to provide guidance to their child. This results in your toddler to ignore the rules, opinions and wishes of the parents and not taking the words of their parents seriously. Consistency requires a great deal of patience. You can compromise on certain things but when it comes to security, stick with rejection. This is also for your child to assess dangerous situations to act appropriately.
Our AptaAdvantage Tip
A father often sees their children in a different angle. They will therefore play a different role with the child to enrich its development. It is not appropriate to reprimand the fathers in front of the child. Give them space and time, you will be able to know if the father takes care of the child in time to come.
