Your 36th week

Your body

You might feel the shortness of breath and heartburn because your baby now slips deeper into the pool so that your lungs and stomach can have more space. There is still sufficient space between your uterus and rib cage. You have a particularly high demand for protein in the last few weeks of your pregnancy. Therefore you should include as many protein-rich foods such as salmon, mackerel or tuna, all species of legumes and egg in your diet.

Your Baby

The brain has once more grown stronger in the recent weeks. It has also marked the final weeks before the arrival of your baby. Your baby now assumes its final birth position and weighs about 2.6 kilograms and a length of just 48 centimetres.

Our AptaAdvantage Tip

Natural birth or Caesarean? For some, they do not question about it, others are unsure whether they want to be exposed to rigors of natural childbirth. Discuss in detail with your gynaecologist. Both options have their advantages and disadvantages that only you can make your own decision.
